How the mobile clinic operates in Lypchanivka, Kharkiv region
Lypchanivka, near Izium, was under Russian occupation from early March to September 9, 2022. Russian soldiers looted the local outpatient clinic. There is no pharmacy in the village. Traveling to Izium is expensive, and the roads are completely destroyed. The "Stellar Ukraine" team regularly comes to help the local residents.
Doctors and psychologists provide free medicine and medical and psychological consultations. They also note that the occupation not only exacerbated existing illnesses but also led to the emergence of new diseases.
The reality of the village is the lack of proper transportation, and therefore, limited access to services such as medical care.
The medical mobile team consists of a doctor, an assistant, and a driver. Additionally, there is an opportunity to consult with a psychologist. The village council or local paramedic is notified of the visit, and they inform the residents.
Services provided by the medical mobile team include measuring blood sugar, pulse, and blood pressure, performing electrocardiograms, providing doctor consultations, referrals to specialists if necessary, and free medication.
It is noteworthy that the charitable foundation "Stellar Ukraine" participates in a grant program involving international partners such as the International Rescue Committee and USAID. Our goal is to assist people living in parts of the Kharkiv region where access to medical services is limited due to ongoing or past hostilities.
